I was doing a survey (what else is new) and to my utter surprise, this question just happened to be on it. How ironic.

Okay, from experience i have a lot to say about this particular question. In my honest opinion, loving someone, trusting them, and having a relationship with that person all go hand in hand. A relationship doesn't exist without trust. Its the backbone of the whole being of what you two stand for. You two are together, because you both feel and believe that something more than a friendship is possible. And just like having a friendship, trust is the most important substance. How can you build on something that you dont trust ? How do you let someone in, if you cant trust them ? Taking risks, and just being with that person means giving in and giving in means being vulnerable enough to let someone know you inside and out. TRUSTING them not to hurt you. Because now, they know everything about you. Everything from your biggest fear, to your biggest weakness. Trust has to be there, or the relationship wont work. Hands down.
